Terms of Service
Effective June 11, 2026
The AI CPE Academy (aicpeacademy.com) is operated by Charlie Barmore, CPA, CFE ("we," "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
What the Academy is
The Academy provides educational content about using AI in professional accounting, tax, and finance practice: courses, essays, resources, and AI-assisted study tools. Accounts are currently free.
No CPE credit at this time
The AI CPE Academy is not an approved or registered CPE sponsor with NASBA or any state board of accountancy. Completing a course earns a Certificate of Completion, not CPE credit, and no representation is made that any content satisfies any continuing education requirement. CPE credit will be offered if and when sponsorship is approved, and these terms will be updated at that time.
Educational content, not professional advice
Everything on the site, including responses from the on-site assistant and essay tutor, is general education. It is not legal, tax, accounting, or other professional advice for any specific situation, and using the site does not create a client relationship with Charlie Barmore or any firm he is affiliated with. Apply your own professional judgment and consult your own advisors before acting.
AI-generated content
The assistant and tutor generate responses with a large language model. Generated text can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date, and you are responsible for verifying anything you rely on. Do not enter client names, identification numbers, or any confidential information into the assistant or tutor.
Your account and acceptable use
Provide accurate information and keep your account to yourself; you are responsible for activity under it. Do not misuse the site: no unlawful use, no attempting to break or bypass access controls or rate limits, no scraping or bulk-extracting content, no automated abuse of the assistant or tutor, and no submitting other people's personal or confidential information. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Content ownership
The courses, essays, and other content are owned by us. You may use them for your own professional education, including materials expressly provided for adaptation in your own firm (such as policy templates). You may not republish, resell, or redistribute the content itself.
Certificates
Certificates of Completion document that the named participant completed a course and passed its final exam. They are not CPE certificates, professional credentials, or any representation of competence to third parties.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the site, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (currently $0, the site is free).
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Georgia.
Changes
We may update these terms; the current version will always be posted here with its effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
